One of the frequent questions asked at the STUFF-ication seminars is: “How do I know which cleaning products are safe to use?” Get some great tips on earth friendly products and how-to suggestions by viewing this edition of Clear Tip of the Week. You’ll also find a link that provides recipes for creating your own non-toxic household cleaners. One of the key elements of having a clear place is keeping it clean. Get started today! Show me how.

Get Clear and Go Green!

Getting rid of stuff that no longer serves a purpose is only one part of having a clear place. Another, equally important part, is being mindful about your purchases. I love finding fun and useful items that are eco friendly and multi-purpose. A few weeks ago, I discovered a place that is clearly a wonderful resource for just those kinds of things! In Corvalis, Oregon … who knew?

Dish Dumpling scrubbies made with agave twine, cleaning cloths woven with wood fiber, pure soy candles, clay colors for wall paint, barn wood furniture and SO much more.  Eco friendly and friendly folks – my favorite combination.  Read more about the Earth Smart Store here.

World Water Day

Monday, March 22nd is World Water Day.  Here are simple ways for you to honor this global movement and show appreciation for our water planet:

Visualize – Whatever body of water you are close to – Lake Michigan, Lake Washington, New Smyrna Beach, the Willamette River or Tryon Creek – stand at a viewpoint and give thanks.  Visualize your love and gratitude as a beam of light flowing from your heart to the water.  See the beam become millions of stars of crystal light. The light fills the water and every living thing in it with healing energy. This energy is unlimited and without boundaries. It connects with every water source on Earth. End this blessing with the simple words “Water, I send you love and gratitude. All is well in our world.”

If you are unable to visit a place of water – no problem.  You can create your own lake by filling a glass with tap water.  Add a little sea salt to represent cleansing. Do the same exercise as above and when you are finished, take the glass outside and pour the water into the ground. Visualize it seeping deep into the earth connecting with the world.  Another option is to place a photo of water in front of you and use the same visualization exercise as described above.

Bellevue Update

Jeana sent these photos today of updates to her living room decor.  Purple is her favorite color but she had never thought about combining it with other colors especially with red.  Now her eye is seeing all kinds of new possibilities and she’s creating with flair.  This getting clear process is really bringing out the artist in her.  Love how that happens. “I’m thrilled with the look and I feel marvelous energy in the room now.  This house is feeling good!!!”

You go girl!

Bellevue Home Comes Alive

“Prior to Jane’s visit my house felt heavy and forbidding.  After the clearing ceremony, the house felt loving and appeared to welcome me with open arms.  It was a weekend that honored where I was at in my grieving process and helped me to find some comfort.  I’m so glad that Jane was able to spend the time with me and I’m still reaping the benefits.”   Jeana H., Bellevue, WA

Congratulations, Jeana, on making such wonderful progress with the house.  Not only are you transforming it to a beautiful place for yourself  – you are creating a lovely space for the next occupants. And the positive energy from your efforts will follow you always.

Party with a Clear Purpose

My friend, Donna Coe, threw a fabulous downsizing party at her home on Super Bowl Sunday. She raised over $1200 for her two favorite charities, the Cheetah Conversation Fund and the Oregon Humane Society.  Friends and family shopped for bargains while sipping on wine and enjoying yummy treats from the kitchen.  Items were neatly displayed throughout the first floor and included everything from collectibles and crystal to posters and picture frames.  It was a perfect example of the kind of effort ACP encourages – a fun way to clean up, clear out and share more. If you are not the super event hostess that Donna is, ACP can help you organize and host your own “Clear Place Party” right down to the invitations and pricing your stuff.  You get the benefit of a lighter, clearer space and extra cash (to donate or pay some bills) and your guests have a chance to get something they can use at a great price and in a fun environment.  Everyone wins!    Contact us today to schedule your Clear Place Party!

Oprah Gets Clear

Letting go of stuff is certainly a hot topic.  From coast to coast people are starting to catch the wave of clearing out.  It’s not a new message – just one that is timely and appropriate in today’s economy.  We all have more stuff than we know what to do with and when our possessions start to dictate where and how we live … something’s gotta give.  When I talk to women who are dealing with financial challenges, depression and/or relationship issues; it’s not surprising to find that their home environment is less than nurturing. Stagnant energy caused by too much clutter, worn upholstery, stained carpets, crammed closets and overflowing cabinets all contribute to loss of self and ill-health.  It’s an impossible task to feel positive and uplifted when your surroundings are weighing you down at the office or at home.

Take a look around your space today and spend some time visualizing what you would like to see in its place.  Start with a drawer or a bookcase and start purging. If you are one of the lucky ones who already has a perfect place, why not offer to help a friend or neighbor get their space cleared up?  It’s amazing how we can lighten the load and brighten the world with simple steps.  Overwhelmed and need some help?  ACP is here to help.  Contact your local STUFF-ication expert today!
