FALL In Love

PhotoGrid_1537733451762.jpgI am in love with Autumn. The season that celebrates release, the element of water and the energy of the West. What’s not to love? Here’s a reminder from a favorite post of mine from last year. Happy letting go! 

Fall is officially here and most of us couldn’t be happier. Autumn is, in fact, THE most popular season of our nation. A Gallup poll done a few years ago ranked it number one with Summer coming in 2nd, Spring 3rd and Winter 4th. This is the time of year when I remind everyone (myself included) about the power of letting go. Whether it’s stuff in your space, weight on your heart or things in your head – letting go brings clearer energy and renewed strength. Like leaves that release from their branches, Nature shows us that it is the letting go that allows for new growth to happen. So, use this natural energy to help you remove and restore on all levels. It’s SO worth it!

The media is especially full right now of disasters both man made and natural. As we head into Fall and the season of letting go; I like this reminder from Astrologer and teacher, David Pond:

Periodically the background buzz of Armageddon surfaces and these times are no exception with an inordinate number of people asking about their astrology and the coming collapse, disaster, “Armageddon”, they have been hearing about. A crisis of this magnitude is not anything I am picking up on my radar, but I would like to close with the story I remember of Ram Dass’s response to the question of did he see a coming Armageddon. The quote is from my memory of his reply:

“After giving this some thought, I asked myself what I would do if there were to be such a crisis? I would first center myself as best I could, and then look around and see where I could be helpful. And if there weren’t to be such a crisis, what would I do? I would first center myself as best I could and look around and see where I could be helpful. Realizing it is the same either way, the question becomes a non-issue.”

Spiders usually evoke an “Eek!” response especially when they make a surprise visit. Or you inadvertently walk into one of their webs. But as with all of nature, they also have much to teach us if we take time to observe. Click here to find out what spider had to share at my place yesterday.

Fun Fact: Did you know that all spiders can make silk but not all spin webs? They use the silk for a variety of purposes including protecting their young (spiderlings), catching prey and for shelter. Male spiders deposit their sperm into the silk and retrieve it later when they find a willing mate.
